Politics is not my scene

I don't get into politics much. I only have so much room in my brain and my job is taking up most of it. Add in crafts and memories and its full...

But with the upcoming elections this year and the censorship of the internet (honestly the only reason I knew was because its posted all over Facebook) I felt I might give my opinion...

There are rights I feel should not be taken away from us. Taxes could be lower. Reforms could be made...

But every day that I don't have to cover my whole body. Every day I can go to my job and be treated as an equal. Everyday I drive my truck. Everyday I have food to eat. Everyday I can spend with the man I choose.

I am grateful for each of these days. As Americans we want more. More money, more power, more freedom.... When we are already have more than enough.

Thus is why I don't do politics... It could always be worse.

I nerd out!

I had the day to myself and just got paid so what do I do? Shop, of course...
I found some excellent nerdy stuff! Star Wars Valentine stuff at Target! Nightmare before Christmas Yahtzee! The third Hunger Games book. And football game watching gear. Won't really come in handy until next year, but still.
 

And some pretty stuff too! I love Ion hair care products, fabulous. Sparkly eyeliner. And a nail polish tiny brush for details. All the pics on Pinterest have inspired me to do more with my makeup and hair and nails. Don't expect me to go all super glam but just a dash of something.

A new case for my new phone. It's not quite the right case... But it works... There was one I found on Etsy that was truly awful...

Now to clean, organize my scrapbook paper, and set up my serger!

Upgrade

In keeping with the New year, I upgraded my phone and moved over to my boyfriend's plan. I have been a Verizon (Alltel first) customer for 7 years. And I am now a Sprint customer.
My old blackberry didn't have much in the way of processing power. Or even neat features. When the Androids came out to be competition for the iPhone  then blackberry pretty much got left in the dust. And you get stuck with a bad phone for two years! Plus I used the back button on my old phone so much that it started typing "B$" instead of backing out. It got to be very frustrating.
But alas, an upgrade. I got the Samsung galaxy s 2 aka the epic touch. It's so shiny and new! And the full Android market! ! !

Include the serger I got for Christmas and I'm moving on up.
2012 is going to be a good year.

2012 is a whole new year... and a whole new outlook

If you happened to see my blog about a day ago you may not recognize it now. I have gone from 250+ posts down to a mere 50ish. I did a little cleaning. And in the process got to take a look at myself from the past 2 years. I was quite a different person. I have kept some posts just to help people learn more about me. I'll be adding the much needed pictures to the posts over the next month or so.

This is just a new fresh start. A new year, a new me, a new life. A new outlook.

I look forward to sharing all my inspiration and ideas with you!
